I confirm this bug. Step to reproduce : - Use an unbranded monitor (or a monitor that fails to inform the OS of its maximum resolution) - Use a graphic card that support a higher resolution than your monitor support.
My guess : the liveCD use by default the maximum reslution supported by the graphic card. Suggestion : either use a reasonable default resolution (like 800x600) and let the user increase it afterward or start with the higher resolution and decrease it until the user see and click on a you-have-thirty-seconds-to-click-ok-if-you-can-see-this-message-or-the-resolution-will-be-decreased' like message. -- LiveCD monitor resolution too high https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181386 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
