Public bug reported:
In System->Preferences->Keyboard->Layouts->Layout Options->Miscellaneous compatibility options, even with the option "Shift with numeric keypad keys works as in MS Windows" is checked, the shift-number keys sometimes revert to outputting numbers instead of selecting text. Un-checking and re-checking the options will make it work again for a while (not sure how long). The problem will usually re-surface after reboot (but not always). The function worked perfectly in Gutsy. I am running Hardy beta with all updates applied daily. lsb_release -rd output: Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch) Release: 8.04 ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- "Shift with numeric keypad keys works as in MS Windows" does not always work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/209114 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
