Public bug reported: Running all the latest Hardy as of 3/29, booted up to a display covered in horizontal black lines, regularly spaced, about the length of the word "of". Nothing changes or moves them, even turning Compiz off and back on.
I have an Intel 965GM video card, running xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.2.1-1ubuntu6 and kernel 2.6.24-12-generic. The only event I can think of that might be related is that yesterday I ran SuperTuxKart, which froze the display and I had to do a hard reboot, during which my display was not too happy - with the fuzzy colored static indicative of something gone wrong. I took a screenshot, but can't make out whether it recorded the lines or not - I'll proceed to fiddle with things a bit. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [hardy] black lines all over the screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/208758 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
