I have the same problem. I use 7.04 too. There is no trouble when I use lock screen even though the same screensaver is displayed in full screen. And yeah, its switching the user and not logging out.
There is another bug while I lockscreen, my screen rendering changes and all rgb colors appear on the current screen whilst flashing for a second or two.
