Public bug reported: Hi!
I didnt know where to submit this but - I was happily playing counter strike 1.6 on wine since ubuntu 4 or earlier. lately, on gutsy sometimes it just froze and bottom of screen (~25% of it) were filled with coloured vertical lines.. of course only holding power button helped. but everything else was superb. then i decided to upgrade from gutsy to hardy alpha 6 and wine broke. not actually broke but when i play there is some triangle filled with colours that is following my crossair. this bugs me a lot. also, when i come sideways close to walls,i can see trough them. not directly but sideways. and this also bugs me a lot, i feel like cheating because i can see trough walls. also there was problem when some key just "stuck" and i cannot play or restart X. i foun in one thread about special package xserver-xorg- core_1.4.1~git20080131-1ubuntu6_i386.deb and that helped. all of those problems i described were when i upgraded from gutsy to hardy alpha 6 and also when i did clean install to hardy alpha 6 and they arent gone even in todays updates. all those problems are on gnome, on icewm and also on sawfish. i am using IBM-Lenovo N200 laptop with Intel X3100 (Intel 965GM Chipset). I am using intel xserver. Thanks. If i`d found something like this on google, I wouldnt bother You. And I`m sorry for my english. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- upgrade to hardy a6 broke wine cs 1.6 graphics https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207592 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
