I'm fairly sure this is resolved in Hardy; feel free to reopen if not.
i810 is definitely deprecated (we'll probably stop shipping it as of
Intrepid). There were some performance issues with -intel which are
fixed now due to switching from XAA to EXA and using the "greedy"
migration heuristic, so I'm fairly sure the performance situation should
be a lot better.
