Hi guys Having exchanged some thoughts with others, it's all probably down to the new kernel/hardware interface I am using a Gigabye G31MX-S2 board/F4 BIOS with Realtek HD sound, hosting an E2160 CPU, probably the most critical elements for sound. However I am still experiencing some Exaile/Kaffeine conflict, which does not not happen with Ubuntu 7.10

Only thing left from previous installation was the home directory. RE- INSTALLATION MADE ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE!!! Still no sound in any applications. Only available sound is the test sound for "ICE1712 multi" in "system > preferences > sound". I have amd64 btw. -- no sound hardy kernel 2.6.24-12 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/200338 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of a duplicate bug. -- no sound hardy kernel 2.6.24-12 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/200338 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
