Hi guys
Having exchanged some thoughts with others, it's all
probably down to the new kernel/hardware interface
I am using a Gigabye G31MX-S2 board/F4 BIOS
with Realtek HD sound, hosting an E2160 CPU,
probably the most critical elements for sound.
However I am still experiencing some Exaile/Kaffeine
conflict, which does not not happen with Ubuntu 7.10

Subject: [Bug 200338] Re: no sound hardy kernel 2.6.24-12

Made new installation today, now with Ubuntu Studio 8.04 beta. Only
thing left from previous installation was the home directory. RE-
INSTALLATION MADE ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE!!! Still no sound in any
applications. Only available sound is the test sound for "ICE1712 multi"
in "system > preferences > sound". I have amd64 btw.
