Public bug reported:

After Updating mysql-server (with all dependencies) in Ubuntu Dapper
from mysql-server_5.0.22-0ubuntu6.06.6_all.deb to mysql-
server_5.0.22-0ubuntu6.06.8_all.deb mysqldump does not work properly.

I do a nightly backup of a 4,2 GB database with mysqldump.

After upgrading mysqldump does not end and the created sql backup file
fills my whole filesystem (200 GB!).

Small databases dont have this problem. It happens only with the big
one.

I use the following command to backup:

mysqldump --opt --allow-keywords -uroot -pPASS -hlocalhost mybigdb >
/tmp/mybigdb.sql

** Affects: mysql-dfsg-5.0 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
