I've got an nVidia 8600GT. I have the pink shadows, plus window decorations of inactive windows vanish or get fuzzy.
While the window is inactive, hovering over the title bar and moving the mouse cursor repeatedly into and out of the title bar area (without clicking) can make parts of the title bar reappear, usually in diagonal stripes or in scattered points...
