I followed Pedro's advice as soon as I could. I have also tried to make my old Inbox available through other means. In brief, here's what I know now:
- Hardy Heron's Evolution (live CD) launched nicely, inheriting all old mailboxes, but overwrote the old Inbox promptly, substituting the one- message welcome by the Evolution team. I might not have been doing things right, of course. I had plenty of backups, of course. - Gutsy Gibbon's Evolution seems unable to recognize mbox files of 6.2G (that's the Inbox size, but it won't read the file even if it is not presented as an Inbox). However, splitting the file down to 1G size seems to make the resulting mbox files accessible. This is certainly a way to work around the problem. I just was never aware of a size limitation - and it's Evolution under Feisty Fawn and predecessors that built such a humongous Inbox... -- Evolution client "lost" the inbox folder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/192787 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
