Installed again using XUbuntu 8.04 beta. Problem persist, although the "Screen and Graphics preferences" application moved to another menu.
After installation I had 1152 x 864 resolution, but selecting my monitor from the list (still Nokia 445 Xi) messes things up. When X Window next starts, seems it on the fourth start pops up "Ubuntu is running in low- graphics mode" dialog box and even pressing configure and trying to change stuff all I get is 800x600 max resolution. In my opinion Screen and Graphics Preferences application just messes up X Window configuration. ** Attachment added: "xorg.conf" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12844525/xorg.conf -- Correct video card detected, but driver not used https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203689 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
