Public bug reported: Binary package hint: friendly-recovery
While doing a "apt-get install ubuntu-minimal ubuntu-standard" on a cdebootstrap'ed hardy system I got the following error: . . . Selecting previously deselected package friendly-recovery. Unpacking friendly-recovery (from .../friendly-recovery_0.0+bzr20070723_all.deb) ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/friendly-recovery_0.0+bzr20070723_all.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite `/etc/event.d/rcS-sulogin', which is also in package upstart-compat-sysv Selecting previously deselected package ftp. Unpacking ftp (from .../ftp_0.17-16build1_i386.deb) . . . . Selecting previously deselected package update-manager-core. Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/friendly-recovery_0.0+bzr20070723_all.deb E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) upstart-compat-sysv is a depends of ubuntu-minimal, friendly-recovery is a recommends of ubuntu-standard. As aptitude will pull recommends in by default, this is possibly a release blocker for hardy. ** Affects: friendly-recovery (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- friendly-recover (ubuntu-standard) conflicts with upstart-compat-sysv (ubuntu-minimal) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/205911 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
