Yes, I can reproduce it with icedtea-gcjwebplugin. The exact same behavior occurs as reported. Does it work for you, Matti?
As a side note, I can't install icedtea-gcjwebplugin through an up-to- date Firefox. When I click to install "gcjwebplugin (IcedTea)" (which is the only IcedTea option), it tells me that it cannot find the icedtea- java7 package. I presume that the Firefox plugin installer hasn't been updated to use the new name yet.
