I'm the thread starter from the link graingert posted, and I still have this problem on my t9300. None of the cpufreq modules will work, and I have the exact same errors:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo modprobe acpi_cpufreq FATAL: Error inserting acpi_cpufreq (/lib/modules/2.6.24-12-generic/kernel/arch/x86/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/acpi-cpufreq.ko): No such device [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo modprobe speedstep_centrino FATAL: Error inserting speedstep_centrino (/lib/modules/2.6.24-12-generic/kernel/arch/x86/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/speedstep-centrino.ko): No such device This is a laptop, so my BIOS options are very limited- nothing to do with frequency scaling can be changed, or even monitored. I attached the output of dmesg; I tried "sudo acpidump > acpudump.txt," but it said "Wrong checksum for generic table!" If the output of acpidump would be useful here, let me know the best way to capture it. Thanks! ** Attachment added: "dmesg" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12833691/dmesg.txt -- ubuntu does not support frequency scaling with intel T9300 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/201890 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
