The same issue occurred under 7.1 where the card does not come up when the computer (Dell Inspiron 2500) boots. I need to remove it and insert it several times before it is recognized and then it is fine. This probably caused the upgrade and/or FIrefox to crash. I don't want to pull the card to give you the model but I believe it is a WG511T.
