Public bug reported: I tried Kubuntu Hardy Beta with KDE 3.5.9 and noticed that the user can only mount a encrypted device by right-clicking on the icon and choosing "Decrypt" from the context menu. Beside that, Dolphin has no such action in the context menu, so this works only with icons on the desktop or by using Konqueror. If you simply click on the icon, the system shows a error message like "The device couldn't be opened, because it's encrypted". Why the system doesn't show the password dialogue to decrypt the device, if it knows it's encrypted?
These two issues should be fixed: * Add a "Decrypt" action to Dolphin's context menue * Everywhere, where a user wants to mount a encrypted device, show the password dialogue and decrypt it. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - Improve opening of a encrypted device + Improve mounting of a encrypted device ** Description changed: I tried Kubuntu Hardy Beta with KDE 3.5.9 and noticed that the user can - only open a encrypted device by right-clicking on the icon and choosing + only mount a encrypted device by right-clicking on the icon and choosing "Decrypt" from the context menu.
