7.10 latest updates ZyXEL G-202 wireless usb adapter. Via G7 system, 512MB memory. With Wicp or NetMan.
I was using 64 character very random key on several systems for some time. All characters are HEX upper case. Ubuntu would not connect using this key. Windows, and PS3 would both accept this key. Removing last 4 characters from the key allowed it to connect. The standard allows 64 characters [possibly only if they are hex] not 63. This would apparently yield a 256bit key directly. Ubuntu would connect using the 60 character version of this key to the network if the Linksys WRT54G router were setup with the 60 character version. All key entry was done with CUT and PASTE to avoid typing errors. WICP or Network Manager were both used. No difference in effect. Since PS3 cannot accept smaller keys, after trying several combinations, the key had to be dumbed down to 16 characters. This is a royal pain since I had to dumb down my key and change the rest of my systems.
