I'm getting a problem which I think is related: with an updated Hardy, the wifi connect button is grayed out in NM, with wifi button on or off. This only happens with kernels 2.6.24-12-generic and 2.6.24-12-386 . I had to install in order to install VirtualBox. I'd even see that as a blocker for Hardy. It doesn't happen with 2.6.24-11-generic
