Confimed: This problem is related only to SOME networks. At home: no problems with the ethernet card. At home, connecting two computers through ssh: no problems with the ethernet card. At work, with gusty: The ethernet card is unable to get an ip through dhcp. I'll try several times to "ifup" next time i go there with the 1525. At work, with other computers, or with kernel 2.6.24, or with kernel 2.6.22+sk98lin module: no problem with the ethernet card.
