Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pidgin
* Root cause yahoo.co.jp's Yahoo! Messenger(It is yahoo.co.jp originals. Please recognize that they are different from yahoo.com's Yahoo! messenger) changed protocol specification. They changed charset(codepage) Shift-JIS to UTF-8. So, pidgin cannot use Japanese character correctly in conversation with yahoo.co.jp's Yahoo! Messenger now. * Background: Japanese Yahoo! Messenger is original localized by www.yahoo.co.jp. (Japanese Yahoo! Messenger's account divided with original Yahoo's, and yahoo.co.jp customized it) t has another communication protocol, and pidgin had supported it. * Reference: http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/4921 | On Feb 26, Yahoo!
