Thanks for the fix, Jeff. Maybe this should somehow be made possible to
correct by doing an dpkg-reconfigure gksu? If that would make
automagical correction easier, I mean.

Even though it happens to few people during the dist-upgrade process, an
average user hit by this problem wouldn't know what to do when his
password suddenly stopped working, and thus it's a bug that's very
important to sort out before 6.10's release.
