I installed Hardy from the Alpha 5 ISO over the weekend and got bitten by this bug, and the fix didn't come in an update after I rebooted into my local Hardy install. I'm glad to see the workaround, and I've blogged it with links to both this bug and the GNOME bug. Hopefully the next Hardy milestone will confirm this bug has been resolved.
