Public bug reported: Binary package hint: bind9
The manpage of host (1:9.4.1-P1-3ubuntu1 / gutsy) states: "The -t option is used to select the query type. type can be any recognised query type: CNAME, NS, SOA, SIG, KEY, AXFR, etc. When no query type is specified, host automatically selects an appropriate query type. By default it looks for A records, but if the -C option was given, queries will be made for SOA records, and if name is a dotted-decimal IPv4 address or colon-delimited IPv6 address, host will query for PTR records." But host querie A, AAAA and MX as default, not only A. ** Affects: bind9 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- error in host manpage https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203087 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
