Public bug reported:

Ubuntu Hardy Alpha-6

Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H Motherboard
AMD x2 4800+ AM2 (Dual Core)
2 x Elixir 1GB DDR-2 800MHz
WD SATA 250GB HDD
20x SATA DVDRW

Installed as normal, and when it goes to boot it comes up with Grub
Error 18.. but why? All the explanations I get are that it has to do
with Old BIOSs dealing with hard drives to big to handle.. but this is a
brand new system, 1 week old motherboard that just came out...

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
