I can confirm this bug also on an Acer Aspire 5920G running Hardy (Alpha
6). The second touchpad (along the right hand side of the laptop
keyboard) controls the vertical scrolling for sure, I haven't tested the
horizontal scrolling yet. I've attached a picture of the layout, you can
see the four lit "multimedia keys" on the right hand side. The vertical
scrolling zone seems to be in the area of the top two "buttons". As
original poster has said, the "multimedia keys" are really a second
touchpad zone and not actual keys.
