Well thats great, but when I go to /var/crash I do not see a crash file for gnome-settings-daemon. It seems that you should try and verify circumstances prior to arbitraily invalidating a problem report. The problem hasn't gone away, I just don't specifically see a crash file for the gnome-settings-daemon. Now if you can advise on how the daemon can be configured to make a crash file or configured to not try restating too many times we might have a fighting chance on this one.
Also the problem existed on 03/12 then after the glibc faux pas a few days ago it was necessary for me to re-install Hardy and the problem came back with the new installation. My first guess would be something stored somewhere within my home directory, but I have no idea exactly where to look... Please provide a tad bit more advice before shutting down a problem in the future! Thanks for the response and sorry for the impatience! ** Changed in: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- Gnome-settings-daemon dying https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/201577 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
