Public bug reported:

Hello, and thank you for your work,

I have a problem with my session screen (the one where I enter my login
and password to enter my session):

SITUATION:
- I use Ubuntu 7.10 Gnome 2.20.1
- I installed both FRENCH and JAPANESE languages packages.
- I uninstalled ENGLISH language package.
- I use only one session (I didn't created a second one), generally in
JAPANESE, but sometimes also in FRENCH.
- My default language is set on JAPANESE
- I didn't change the session screen (I use the default one which is called
"HUMAN", see attached file for example)

BUG:
When I start my computer my session screen is strangely always displayed in
FRENCH (I mean "login" and "password" and the menu in the left bottom corner
are displayed in FRENCH) instead of JAPANESE.

THEN (AFTER STARTING MY PC):
If I just enter my login and password, my Desktop is opened in JAPANESE (this
is ok, because JAPANESE is default).
If I change the language to FRENCH, the session screen keeps beeing displayed
in FRENCH (this is ok)
If I change the language to JAPANESE, the session screen is displayed in
JAPANESE (this is also ok)

Please could you tell me if I am the first one to report this type of bug?
I think this bug should be taken into account as HIGH IMPORTANCE because some
people could be blocked and reject UBUNTU just for this.

I hope this can help make UBUNTU better :-)
Regards,
Yann
