I went and downloaded the source for what I think is the most recent Fedora 8 kernel:
kernel-2.6.24.3-12.fc8.src.rpm It contains a big linux-2.6-wirless.patch and a smaller linux-2.6 -wireless-pending.patch. They include the mac80211 rtl8180 driver and lots of other stuff. So it is at least possible to backport this stuff to 2.6.24. There are patches in there for the mac80211 subsystem too: I'm not sure how independent the rtl8180 stuff is. OTOH, what is Ubuntu's plan for ath5k? It might be worth it if you want ath5k din 2.6.24. Maybe you should just contact John Linville <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and ask him if it is reasonable to try to put together patches for rtl8180 for 2.6.24. -- rtl8180 and rtl818x disabled in kernel Makefile https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/184788 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
