Hi, I had a problem after upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04. Got the message: "Waiting for root file system". Below my way to solve/work around this issue.
I did boot the system with an older kernel, you can choose from GRUB. After logging in I installed "live-initramfs" using the package manager. It seems that it has reconfigured initramfs.
