The fix for bug 43150 should be in dapper-updates within a week. It took
a number of hours to locate the fix in the 58000-odd line diff from the
Dapper to Edgy version of gcl, but I located it and applied it to the
Dapper package.

I'm not sure about bug 37169, but that is also being looked into, and we
will hopefully be able to find a fix for it in the near future.

maxima bugs are fairly high on my priority list, as it's a really great
piece of software, and lot of people seem to use it. Rest assured that
both of the bugs you mentioned in the original report are being looked
at with a high priority by both Jordan and myself.
