I was expecting that if the package depends on another that is sure to depend on python there's no need for an explicit dependency. this one depends on sugar-base and python-dbus that both depend on python so this is why I knowingly omitted the dep. It's been a while since I read the python or debian policy so it may actually be incorrect to rely on such things. I'll fix the package.
