Hi,

I tested the Ubuntu 8.04 alpha 6 live CD and found the same odd
behavior.

In addition to that, I change themes and it also happens on Clearlooks
what indicates that this is theme-independent. If you want you can
easily replicate it:

1. set "single-click" in nautilus preferences
2. set "always open in browser windows" in nautilus preferences
3. select "list view" mode in nautilus
4. create a few folders and text files as in the screenshot I included
5. let one of the text files highlighted. It has to be in the same level
of the directory arrows that will be clicked.
6. click at the right-down side of the arrows of directories that are in
the same hierarchical level than the highlighted file

As the click will expand/contract the folder, it will also trigger a
single-click on the highlighted file. Please, let me know you were able
to reproduce the problem and/or need some other information.
