+ Essentially this same issue occurs on fglrx and radeonhd, perhaps with the
same root cause. This is a regression from alpha-6; we also had this bug
there, but thought we resolved it. It turned out that we'd simply disabled the
patch (resulting in bug 199718), not actually fixed it.
