Screens and Graphics doesn't start, reporting a crash of that program.
Running under Parallels 5584, the default resolution (1152x720?) works,
but changing it garbles the display.  Under the "screen resolution"
preference, the resolution is set to "off".  Trying to reconfigure the
xserver results in the "FATAL: Error inserting battery" error.

My system is the generic Ubuntu configuration for my version of
Parallels, running Hardy A6 with all updates applied at the time of this
post.
