I've verified that this now works in a current Hardy daily build, probably thanks to Arne's recent scim configuration changes. I performed the following test:
* boot Hardy daily live CD (20080310) * install language-support-input-ja package (from a terminal, as I don't speak Japanese and was having trouble finding my way around the translated UI) * log out and allow the live CD to automatically log back in after the ten-second timeout * start gedit and oowriter * in each, press Shift-Space, type 'watashi', and then Shift-Space again * observe output as Yagisan describes (わたし) ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- Can't Input Japanese Text https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/44626 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
