I still have to download the test version, but when I upgraded to v7.10 the restricted driver manager told me that the driver needed for my wireless is restricted. After installing it it works just fine. I have had multiple kernel changes and because of the new driver it works all fine. I think that if you continue using the restricted drivers the problem would be fixed!
