Public bug reported: I have added: options snd-hda-intel model=acer to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa- base at first installation - alpha1. I have checked and the change is still there. The comment I get is that it cannot find the hardware.
I can get ubuntu to see the wireless connection if I first boot into windows (I have dual boot with Vista) and connect to internet through the wireless connector. I am not an advanced user and therefore cannot describe this in any better way. /ernie ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Hardy Heron. Latest update to 2.6.24-12-generic.
