Richard, your comments are fair. As you say, there is a trade-off in the importance level between how many users are affected, how "core" the application is, the effect of the problem and the ease to workaround. I was meaning that, because every user has usplash installed and a large number seem affected, perhaps it should be higher. As you say, if people are working on it then it makes no difference - I just didn't want it to be missed.
As a separate point, my happiness to use a buggy system is quite different from my desire to see bugs fixed for the final release. I am happy to use a system with no splash screen, but I really don't want it to be like that for average users come the actual release. I am more than happy to be patient if it is being worked on, but we were only told that today. Apologies if I seemed unhappy to give devs time to fix it. Again, to clear up Richard's possible misunderstanding, I am also using fresh installs on each milestone. -- usplash resolution error in boot and halt https://launchpad.net/bugs/60621 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
