Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

On Toshiba Portege 4000 laptop. Trident video chip set.

Has been working fine in breezy and dapper. After dist-upgrade, screen
blanks when X starts and cannot switch to any tty. Keyboard seems to be
ignored.

Same symptoms when I try and boot from desktop CD Edgy Beta.

Dmesg shows an Oops in xorg (I think).

Attached are:
dmesg
lspci
xorg.conf
Xorg.0.log

I am very surprised to see 'sony_acpi' as a loaded module. I cannot
find where/why it is loaded. Is this relevant ?

I tried changing trident driver to vesa, but same problem (although
difference oops output).

What else can I supply or test to help ?
