I have the same problem. I can't watch videos on my laptop because of this. Video performance is really bad.
I'm currently running hardy with the latest updates, I thought that the update xserver-xorg-video-intel (2:2.2.0.90-2ubuntu7) would solve my problem, but it didn't.
