I've tried on 5 different machines now with the same results. I do have one machine that refuses to install a few packages for unknown reasons. They are grayed out in the update manager. It also tells me a partial distro upgrade is available but that just locks up the desktop so I ignore that. That seems to be a different issue altogether. It happens regardless of anything else going on. Changing the setting does not work under any conditions on the 5 machines I tested so far.
