I have made many sleep/resume test, see result: I have my wlan up The most of time system won't really sleep (sleep and directly resume) Some time system will sleep and when it resume i have only a flashing '_' in the corner of the screen and nothing append (I can't do anything after this instead of reset because the USB power are not restored and my keyboard are USB... )
After i have try ifdown wlan0 and launch gnome-power-manager sleep, the computer resume correctly. I think you need to known i don't use network-manager to manage my network interface.
