I can confirm this on a Thinkpad T43p after updating last night.  For
me, its stuck at:

Computer is running on battery power.
Laptop battery fully charged (99%)
Battery charge time is currently unknown

If I plug in, I can get it to say Computer is plugged in, charging, etc,
but still no battery state and always at 99%.  Addtionally, the tray
icon is always the "I'm plugged in and fully charged" icon.
