I fixed this by adding the hostname in /etc/hosts beacuse it was
missing. In the hosts file there was a line that showed:

127.0.1.1 hostname:DOMAIN hostname:DOMAIN

so I modified that line so that it reads:

127.0.1.1 hostname:DOMAIN hostname:DOMAIN hostname

where "hostname" is my computer's name and "DOMAIN" the Windows domain
name of the LAN where I am

** Changed in: linux-meta (Ubuntu)
