I am very disappointed to see no activity on this xfs corruption issue. I did some initial testing with Hardy Heron and as far as I can tell there is no similar corruption issue.
I am getting the impression that the x.10 releases of Ubuntu are to be avoided. I logged a but against 6.10 which was never fixed. 7.04 thankfully works properly in that specific area. Now this xfs corruption nonsense in 7.10, but 8.04 from the first looks seems to be headed in a better direction. I guess at least new releases come more often than Debian!
