With the fix described in bug 147087, sound works on an Aluminium iMac,
but the sound quality is poor, rather like an old, mono radio. This is
in 7.10; sound does not work at all on the live CDs of Hardy Heron Alpha
(see bug 199044). All the hardware details are available in bug 147087.
