Thanks for all the time you took to improve that bug report. Your bug report has already been reported as bug 190414 so I will mark this bug as a duplicate of this one. It would be very great if you can attach the following informations to that bug, this will really help kernel developers : 1. uname -a > uname-a.log 2. cat /proc/version_signature > version.log 3. dmesg > dmesg.log 4. sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log Also an additional workaround that should work for you : To avoid that very long boot time, add "clocksource=hpet" (without the quotes) to your ubuntu kernel boot line. If it works, you can apply it permanently by editing your /boot/grub/menu.list file. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 190414 [hardy] Abnormal time to access ata devices at boot -- [hardy] Slow boot up https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197228 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
