Public bug reported:

After upgrading to Hardy, I rebooted and connected to my wireless
network. I then tried to connect to hamachi using "hamachi start".
This is when the problems started. nm-applet then showed it was trying
to connect to a wired network. I became disconnected from my wireless
network. It seems like when hamachi is started, networkmanager attempts
to use ham0 as a wired network connection instead of the previously set
connection.
