Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firestarter

After some time running, Firestarter crashed suddenly and without any apparent
reason.
If you run it by the system shell (terminal), you get this error before it Core
Dumps:

***MEMORY-ERROR***: firestarter[14377]: GSlice: assertion failed:
sinfo->n_allocated > 0
Cancelled (core dumped)

I'm afraid that this happens every time the firewall tries to block some bad
traffic, because until now my Firestarter didn't block any sort of traffic.

I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) last updated Mon 03 Mar, 2008.
My kernel version is 2.6.22-14-generic
The version of the package is: 1.0.3-6ubuntu1 (downloaded via aptitude)

** Affects: firestarter (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
