What I am trying to determine is this an intermittent problem (possibly hardware) or a consistent problem with Gutsy Gibbon? I've been through a lot of bug reports and I don't see a deluge of Gutsy shutdown problems. So before I escalate, I want to be sure we have a repeatable Gutsy shutdown problem.
I noticed that you have an SIS chipset motherboard. I have two SIS machines that have broken power-on circuits. I had to hardwire them to get them to boot. Is this an ECS motherboard by any chance? -- Gutsy hangs on shutdown with blinking cursor https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197583 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
